Battery Rescue will be presenting at AUSIMM’s International Mine Health and Safety Conference being held in Perth, Western Australia from the 15th to 17th April 2024.
Our presentation, titled “Waste Batteries – Are you ready for the coming avalanche?”, will highlight that many mining companies are not currently managing their waste batteries safely and the associated risks with this mismanagement will increase dramatically with the predicted explosive growth in the use of batteries on mine sites.
The presentation will highlight the risks posed by waste batteries and identify the relevant Australian regulations that govern their storage and transport from site.
The safe and legitimate recycling of batteries will also become increasingly important for mine sites to achieve their sustainability goals and reduce their environmental footprint.
Discover what mining companies can do to minimise the risks posed by waste batteries and reduce their environmental foot print by ensuring they are recycled correctly.
The presentation will be delivered by Battery Rescue’s Director and General Manager, David Bush.
